Meet Your Pro:

James Ignatowich

James Ignatowich was raised in Darien, CT but now currently lives in Delray Beach, FL. A tennis standout, he was once ranked top 5 in the US National High School Recruiting Rankings. Ignatowich attended Vanderbilt University to play collegiate tennis for two years.


 
Thanks to his natural athleticism and aggressive play style, he quickly shot to the top of the PPA's rankings and in February 2023, he claimed his first PPA titles at the Indoor National Championships in men’s pro singles and mixed pro doubles with fellow Team Selkirk’s Catherine Parenteau.


 
James frequently makes it to the finals in Men's Doubles and Mixed Double. He was also drafted for the 2022 Major League Pickleball Newport Tournament for the Ranchers who went on to take the $100,000 prize. For the 2025 MLP season, he has been drafted to play for Chicago Slice.
